A Little
About the Owner:
I have been
sewing since I was twelve years old and specialized in
Textile Arts in college. When my children were young, I
became a Certified Stretch & Sew Instructor. I learned a lot
about presenting classes in an informative style. When my
children started school, I went to work at a local fabric
store for what I thought was a part-time position. Soon
after this, I learned that a local Bernina Dealership was
looking for an instructor. I had been sewing on a Bernina
already, although I had started on a Singer. I began
teaching classes for the Bernina dealer. My part-time job at
the fabric store then became full-time management. I
arranged my schedule to alternate between day and night
shifts, teaching classes when not working. I worked and
taught this way for many years and enjoyed bringing the
newest fabrics, patterns, and notions to my students. I also
brought the newest sewing techniques to the fabric store. I
specialized in embellishing techniques, mostly on clothing
as I always wore the garment that I was currently teaching.
I believed in having lots of different samples so each
student could be excited about a technique, presser foot or
fabric. Quilting and Sewing Outlet is my new business and we
specialize in proving First Quality goods and OUTLET prices.
What does this mean to you? It gives you the ability to find
a large selection of top rated fabric, teaching, designing
doll clothes of all sizes and styles, and quilting quilt
tops. I have recently designed a Quilted Placemat Pattern to
be used by beginning quilters. I am continually growing and
learning more about the sewing business. I plan to use what
I learn in developing new ideas and designs for printed
fabric and many special designs. I look forward to working
with you and to meeting you. |
